Career Exploration
One of the easiest way to learn about an occupation is by reading about it. Apart from the many career books available in bookstores and libraries, there is a wealth of information available online. While reading about an occupation may be useful, it is probably not as interesting as getting hands-on experiences, where teens can learn about an occupation by actually experiencing it, through job shadowing. Besides talking about their work, maybe adults can offer teens a visit at work to see their day-to-day activities. Career exploration will help students gain insight into their future, narrow down their career goals and identify their subject choices for IGCSE and IB.
